Youth activities

At Oakwood we welcome families with children of all ages. We have three children's and young people's groups:

Acorn club - for children between 4 and 7 years old
Twigs - for children between 8 and 11 years old
Tetris - for young people of 12 and over

We also provide a crèche for babies and children of 3 years and under during the morning service (and during other meetings, such as Midweek break if there are young children present).

Acorn club

Acorn club takes place during the Sunday morning service. The children are taken out to one of the Chapel's side rooms after the first 15 minutes or so of the morning service, except on the first Sunday of the month. (When there is no Acorn club, such as on the first Sunday of the month, the younger children are welcome to join in the crèche.)

Twigs

Twigs also takes place during the Sunday morning service. As with Acorn club, the children are taken out to one of the Chapel's side rooms after the first part of the service. There is no Twigs on the first Sunday of each month. Our hope is that on those days, the morning service is suitable for all ages.

Tetris

The Tetris group meets on a Sunday afternoon, at half-past four, either at the Chapel, or in people's houses as announced in the morning service.
